National Kudos for Red Deer Special Olympics Athlete and Volunteer

Congratulations to Red Deerians Thomasina Payne and Jerry Tennant who were recognized by Special Olympics Canada earlier this month.

Thomasina has competed in curling, athletics and speed skating for the past 18 years. She was recognized as the Special Olympics Athlete of the Year.

Jerry has volunteered with Special Olympics Red Deer for 40 years, spending the last 30 as Chair and Program Director. He was awarded the Jim Thompson Volunteer of the Year Award.
